Deadlock mods

GameBanana’s Deadlock hub is the catalog. Deadlock Mod Manager is a separate open-source app that copies .vpk files into the addons folder. This site does not rehost either.

I recorded the hub counts on the research day, 24 October 2026: about 9.8k mods and 4.7k sounds, plus smaller piles of requests, tools and tutorials. Those counters move. The date is the point.

Start with the tool, then the file

The manager is version 2.2.0, released 25 October 2026: free, open source, Windows and Linux, with a signed Windows installer. It backs up before it changes files and can launch the game vanilla.

If you install by hand, the steps are on the install page, including the game/citadel/addons path. If a patch breaks everything, use the repair page before you delete the whole folder.

Questions

Where do I download mods?

From GameBanana’s Deadlock game hub, or through Deadlock Mod Manager, which also names Deadlocker as a partner. Do not use a random archive site.

Are they allowed?

Valve has not published a policy. A July 2026 write-up found no confirmed bans. That is not a promise.

What do people install?

The manager homepage preview shows large popularity counters for cosmetic overhauls such as a Yamato redesign and a Billy jacket. Treat those counters as popularity signals, not install totals or quality scores.
