Deadlock invite not showing up

If the client says pending, the grant may already be on your Steam account. The playtest page is the place the original poster of the official-forum thread said actually fixed it.

I read the forum thread “Invite Bugged Under Pending For Weeks.” The original poster confirmed the playtest page was the fix, and a second user wrote that the same step worked for them.

Symptom, then the check that players confirmed

Several 2026 threads describe the same stall: the sender sees the invite leave, the receiver never gets a popup, and the client stays on pending. The corroborated fix is Account details, then Playtests.

Claims we will not repeat as rules

A five-dollar Steam spend requirement and the idea that a lapsed invite blocks future ones both appear in that thread and are contradicted there. They stay unverified.

Questions

Where is the playtest page?

https://store.steampowered.com/account/playtestinvite while you are signed into the invited Steam account.

Does an old invite brick the account?

A reply in that same thread says old invites do not disappear and do not brick the account. Treat the opposite claim as unverified.

Will support grant access?

There is no published Valve promise that support will add you. Do not plan on it.
