Deadlock mechanics

Melee can be parried. The community wiki lists a 0.75-second active parry window within a one-second animation; timing can change after patches. Slide needs speed above 350 units per second, about 8.9 metres per second, or a ramp.

The wiki documents citadel_pause and P in custom-game instructions. Availability depends on mode: Street Brawl cannot be paused. Quick-buy is a keybind, so check your own binds after each update.

Clock times the wiki lists

The map page documents events at 0:00, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00, 5:00, 8:00, 10:00, 12:00, 18:00, 20:00, 30:00 and 35:00. I am not attaching a camp name to a timestamp the extract did not spell out.

Objectives in the lane are Guardians, Walkers, base guardians, shrines and the Patron. Midboss, the Unstable Rift and the Soul Urn are the big neutral objectives.

Questions

How do you parry?

Press F by default to parry an incoming melee attack. The community wiki lists 0.75 seconds of active parry and a 2.75-second stun on a successfully parried attacker; check after patches.

How do you slide?

Press crouch while faster than 350 u/s, or use a ramp. No stamina cost. Infinite ammo while sliding. Friction rises after 0.75 seconds, or 1.00 second if you dash-jumped.

What are Haunted Souls?

Souls from breakables, Haunts and Sinner’s Sacrifice. They are added immediately but the remaining haunted portion can drop on death.
