Deadlock vs Valorant
Both are hero shooters people open in the same afternoon. Deadlock is third person, six a side, three lanes, and you buy items with souls. Valorant is first person, five a side, and you buy guns and abilities between rounds on a bomb site.
I did not invent a “Deadlock players are ex-Valorant” percentage. The useful difference is the camera and the economy, and both of those are written down without a survey.

The difference that changes how you play
Valorant’s column is the public description of that game, via its Wikipedia summary, not a patch-note scrape. Deadlock’s column matches the entity baseline checked on 24 October 2026.

Questions
Is Deadlock just Valorant?
No. Lane objectives and a soul shop are the loop, not a spike plant.
Who makes each game?
Valve makes Deadlock. Riot Games makes Valorant.
Can I play Deadlock today?
Only with a playtest invite, on Windows. Valorant’s availability is Riot’s, not this page’s topic.
